Several years ago I was introduced to minimalist (aka barefoot) running shoes. From the moment I slipped them on and ran up the street to test them out I fell in love….. but the relationship wasn’t without it’s hurdles as on my first decent run in them my calf muscles locked up leaving me to limp home 🙁
I chat about this and all the other pro’s and con’s of minimalist shoes, the difference between them and conventional shoes, and some hints to get yourself moving more like your body was made too, hopefully without experiencing the torridness of the ‘love affair’ I’ve had with minimalist shoes over the last 5 years or so….
